Llana, Aguda, and Esdrujula

Today I will be showing you the difference between a llana, aguda, and esdugula word. I am apologizing in advance for all of the missing accent marks, this blog site will not allow me to put them on words.

Okay so down to business. A llana word is a spanish word that ends in a vowel, an n or an s.
An aguda word is a spanish word that does not end in a vowel, n, or s. For aguda words the natural emphasis happens on the last syllable.
Lastly an esdrujula word is a word with an accent where the voice inflection is on the 3rd to last syllable.

The video posted above is a video that further explains esdrujula. Hope you enjoy.

Hello

Hi,

My name is Paige, and I am working on a Spanish 2 project that is going to last throughout the entire school year. My teacher is calling this our "Spanish Dictionary." Everyday (or almost everyday) I am going to post a new word or concept onto this blog. Somedays it will be one new word/concept, and somedays I will have five or ten, or maybe even more.

I will do my best to post everyday. Have fun learning new things about the Spanish Language!!!
